ABOUT THE GALLERY OF CURIOSITIES

This community-curated Wunderkammer showcases, the unique, bizarre, fanciful, sacred, ill-defined, celebrated, historical, alternative, supernatural, and otherwise curious collections and creations of Central Virginia. The perfect exhibit for October, this exhibition is a deep-dive into the most peculiar parts our community’s collective wonder. We’ve overturned every rock, and we’ve peered into every dark basement to uncover an astonishing collection of curiosities that is guaranteed to inspire a sense of intrigue, surprise, and admiration of our community.

Exhibit Opening Features: Curious experiences at the Gallery of Curiosities! 

One Night Only:

TAROT CARD READING: Leslie M. Scott-Jones shows us another facet to her diamond-like persona. Leslie is a medium and intuitive who uses tarot cards to connect to spirit and receive messages. She is a metaphysical life coach who focuses on love and intimate relationships. You may know her due to her theatrical and activist activity around town. 10 minute readings are $10.

PRACTICE YOUR TELEPATHY: Renee Reighart performs informal telepathic experiments as illustrated in Upton Sinclair’s book called Mental Radio. Come prepared to test your skills.

SPINNING PET HAIR INTO YARN: Elyse Smith uses her spinning wheel to turn your beloved pet’s hair into yarn. Bring your clean pet fur to the exhibition opening.
