Join Planned Parenthood, The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative, and local artist Golara Haghtalab as we create a community canvas to raise awareness for Transgender Visibility Day. TDOV is a day to show your support for the trans community. It aims to bring attention to the accomplishments of trans people around the globe while fighting cissexism and transphobia by spreading knowledge of the trans community.
Trans activists Mia Mason and Donna Price will be joining us to speak on why the day is important to them and how allies can stand with the trans community. We will then contribute to a community canvas, expressing through art why we stand with #TransThriving.
All are welcome to contribute. Canvas and paint supplies will be provided.
Artist Golara Haghtalab will be facilitating a community canvas exercise on trans visibility. Bring your thirsty, creative self to sip and paint a community canvas. Donations will go to Planned Parenthood.
