“The Blissful Dark” – Exhibition & Opening Reception
Stop by The Bridge for September’s Final Friday and take in “The Blissful Dark”, an exhibition by Jack Graves, III.
As described by Graves, “Twelve years ago I wanted to create an unequivocal artwork, but didn’t know what to depict. I decided to cover a sheet of paper in design inspired by music and subconscious emotion with pen. I work in multiple mediums now, but the goal is still to breathe life into the best artwork possible through my own filter. Having this passion has taught me in all respects of life, and I wish to impart my realization of productivity in the direction of good as a motivator to others. The show will be a chronological display of my art’s growth as I pass through this blissful dark of life. The artwork presented is composed of multiple series, but all are linked by the desire to present a unique emotional and intellectual engagement. The works are physically made by my hands with ink, charcoal, and paint. The works are ethereally made by sudden visions, or selective contemplation”.
The opening reception will be Friday September 2, 5:30-7:30, and the exhibition will run through September 30.
