Come learn about the history and artwork of one of the most important solidarity movements of the twentieth century, the Tricontinental. Through the innovative films, posters, books, and magazines that it published in four languages and distributed globally for over four decades, the Tricontinental became the primary engine of politically radical cultural production worldwide. Brief talks by Professor Anne Garland Mahler (UVA, Spanish) and Ryan Russell (UVA, Politics) on the Tricontinental will be followed with conversation with Ethan Madarieta (UVA, Drama) and those in attendance. This event is free and there will be free food!
